So you want to know more about me? Well other than loving my job as a second grade teacher, which I am sure if you ask my students that is all that I do, I have many hobbies and interesting things about me.

When people ask me where I am from, or where I grow up I have so many details I can tell them. I was born in Wellesley ,Massachusetts right outside of Boston. My grandmother who was also a teacher lived there and she inspired me to become a teacher. We moved to Midland, Michigan where I spent most of my Childhood, before moving to Princeton New, Jersey which is where I graduated high school.

Being a Michigan Girl at heart I came back to the mitten to attend College at Ferris State University.  While at Ferris I studied Elementary Education. I became extremely involved in my sorority Alpha Sigma Tau, and graduated with A bachelors degree in Elementary Education and honors in 2011. 

​

After college I spent a year as a merchandise coordinator for the PGA golf course in New Jersey, which taught me  so much professionally. After the year, I returned to Michigan with my now husband. We bought a camping and canoe rental business in Falmouth, Michigan called White Birch Campground which we run as a family in the summer. However, my passion is my 1st grade teaching job I have at Collins Elementary School in Houghton Lake, Mi. GO Bobcats! I have taught in Houghton Lake now for 6 years, and I have gained so mnay experience which you can read more about throughout the site.

Recently I have had many big life accomplishments. My husband Dave and I welcomed our first child into our family, a little boy also named David. I am also in my last semester of my Masters in Educational Technology Program at Michigan State University. When I am not being a mom, or a teacher, or a student, I love being outside paddle boarding, kayaking, or just taking a nice walk. Reading is by far my favorite indoor pass time whether it is for business or pleasure.
